Training Opportunities
CAMELOT has several exciting opportunities for you!
- Postdoctoral and Graduate Trainee Exchange Program: We are seeking a lab that has an existing partnership or is interested in collaborating with Huntsman Cancer Institute or another cancer center by hosting or sending a postdoc or graduate trainee for an 8-week research exchange program. CAMELOT and partnering institution will cover the cost of travel and accommodation.
CAMELOT has received a $10,000 gift from a private donor which will support the Postdoctoral and Graduate Exchange Program. Matching funds will be provided from CCC/CAMELOT. Our donor is like many of us with a personal story about cancer: a beloved family member died young from metastatic disease. They know first-hand the value of research and especially learning from each other, stating "by helping to build research teams that span across institutes, CAMELOT embodies how partnerships help to find solutions."
Questions - Seeking postdocs for T32: The OSUCCC – James has open postdoctoral positions in the T32 Cancer Prevention and Control Research Training Program, led by Dr. Peter Shields and Dr. Chyke Doubeni. This NIH-funded program provides multidisciplinary training across the full spectrum of cancer prevention and control, including cancer risk, epidemiology (such as tobacco-related research), and health outcomes. The goal of the program is to prepare the next generation of independent cancer researchers through mentorship, collaborative research, and career development opportunities. Trainees will benefit from a strong research infrastructure, diverse expertise, and a collaborative scientific environment. Eligible applicants must hold an MD, DO, DVM, DDS, or PhD. Physician-scientists currently in or having completed clinical training are encouraged to apply. To be considered, please submit a current CV, cover letter, one-page career statement, three letters of reference, and one representative publication to Kelly Wolfe at kelly.wolfe@osumc.edu
- Grant Writing Library for all CCC members: Reminder: CAMELOT offers a Grant Writing Library to assist scientists in applying for NIH research grants. This high-value resource is provided at no cost when you sign up using your OSU or OSUMC email address.
