  • College of Medicine (COM) and Office of Health Sciences (OHS) staff are required to complete specific training and assessments before engaging in job duties to comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as institutional and accreditation agency standards. 

2. Biosafety Study Team Requirements

Research protocols submitted to the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) may be subject to training requirements:

• Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) mandatory training courses,
• biosafety training from Environmental Health and Safety (EHS),
• risk assessments as part of the Occupational Health and Safety Program,
• NIH Guideline Basics for lab personnel working with recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids, and
• the CITI Responsible Conduct of Research course.

3. Faculty Programs
