Li-Cor Updates

Dear Li-Cor Odyssey trained users,

Half of the Cancer Center’s shared Li-Cor Odyssey FC units have broken in the last month. These units are nearing the end of their expected life cycle and the cost for repair is very high. The Odyssey CLx’s are under a service agreement until June of 2025 and the remaining FC’s will continue to be supported until significant repairs are needed. Neither the FC’s or the CLx’s are being manufactured anymore and Li-Cor has transitioned to its next generation of imagers, as well as its next generation of software. The broken FC units will be replaced with a combination of Azure 300 and Azure 500 imagers, starting a slow transition from Li-Cor to Azure.  We would like to make as informed a decision as possible before purchasing and need to better understand if researchers are using the FC’s for NIR, Chemi, or both. To do so, we would appreciate if our users could take the following quick survey about imager use: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SXDMHVQ. The survey will expire Friday, 9/8/2023.
