The Data Systems and Analytics (DSA) group is a shared technology resource created to support the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) and The James Cancer Hospital, collectively the ‘Cancer Program’(CP), to provide support for research, clinical, and administrative areas throughout the CP and other entities on campus.  Key responsibilities of the group include, data collection, research, building data pipelines, data analyses, data governance, data visualizations/dashboards, reporting, and database administration. The group is comprised of Data Engineers, Reporting Analysts, and Database Administrators. DSA’s mission manages inflow of data from many sources and creates an overall uniform/normalized version of the truth for reporting, analytics, and Cancer Web Applications. This structure ensures that the overall design, quality, and security of the database infrastructure and reporting capabilities, exceed industry standards.
